Steel Success for Award Winning South Australian Builders

South Australian builders Serenity Homes and Cavalier Homes Adelaide have scooped a series of important industry awards with the help of steel house frames, which have given the builders new design options and long term durability.Serenity Homes' display home 'Soudai' picked up three Delfin Grand Master Awards for Best Patio Display Home South Australia, Premier Display Home South Australia and National Premier Display Home. Also it scooped two Housing Industry Australia South Australia awards for Display Home Over A$300,000 and 2006 Major Display Home Winner.
Gary Barnes, founder of Serenity Homes, explains: "We use steel on all of our homes and have been doing so for over six years now. We choose it because we can achieve some really interesting and impressive designs with it. Also, it's long lasting and resistant to pests such as termites. This means homeowners get real peace of mind that the core of their homes will be structurally sound for years to come. And for 'Soudai', in addition to the frame we used a roof made from COLORBOND® steel for to give the home a stunning complete look."
Fellow builder Cavalier Homes Adelaide's display 'Sorrento 24' won the Delfin Grand Master Award for Best Traditional Display Home up to A$249,999 and was again constructed using a house frame made from TRUECORE® steel.
